Tournament bass fishing premier kayak trail heads to one of America’s most famous rivers and looks to take advantage of the spawning bass bite on the La Crosse pools 7, 8, and 9 of the Mississippi River.

The event, hosted by Driftless Sports Convergence, will be held May 19, 2018 from 5am-2:00pm with open registration ending May 18 at 6pm. Prefishing will end May 18 at 4:00pm.  The Captain’s meeting will take place May 18 at 6pm at Tournament HQ (Onalaska Omni Center).

All kayak bass anglers are welcome to sign up and compete in this event. Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF) Membership is not required to compete for cash prizes. This KBF TRAIL Series is sponsored by  NuCanoe, Torqeedo, YETI, YakAttack, Lowrance, APR, BooneDOX, NRS, Power-Pole, and NINES Optics.

KBF Founder, Chad Hoover, discovered last summer while filming an episode of Kayak Bassin TV, that the LaCrosse pools of the mighty Mississippi are chocked-full of 4-5 pound largemouth and 3-5 pound smallmouth. A 100” limit of fish in the kayak isn’t out of the question, especially considering this event will be held during the pre-spawn period when big females should be ready to play. We’re so excited for this event that Chad himself will be directing this tournament and then hanging around to fish for four days while filming two more episodes of Kayak Bassin TV.

In addition to a guaranteed minimum $1,000 top place payout, KBF members who participate will also fish for AOY points, KBF BONUS BUCKS and a NuCanoe Flint Mystery Fish at this event. Perhaps more important than prize money or points, KBF members who place in the top 10% earn their qualification for the 2019 KBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.  This historic championship event will be held during the spring of 2019 and will feature a guaranteed $50,000 payout with bonuses that can surpass $100,000!

Don’t miss this opportunity to test your skills against some of the best anglers in the country in the fastest growing segment of the fishing industry.
